What are the fees for a consultation?

Fees for consultations are based on guidelines set down by Medicare, a standard appointment is currently billed at $80.00 and this attracts a medicare rebate of $37.05

How do I register with the practice?

We are always happy to welcome new patients to our practice and can do this in one of two ways.
  1. If you have a medical need to see a GP we can arrange this - however, there may be a 2-3 week waiting period to see a doctor as a new patient.
  2. If you are currently well and do not have a need to see a doctor, we can arrange a "registration appointment" with one of our practice nurses. This can generally be done within 5-7 working days. There is a a non rebateable fee for this appointment. The nurses ensure that all relevant medical information is recorded into your electronic medical record and will arrange for your medical records to be transferred from your previous doctor if appropriate. Once this appointment had occurred you are free to call and see a doctor as required.

What services are offered at the practice?

We currently have 8 doctors and 2 nurses working in the practice. We have 6 female doctors who work part time. With the exception of holidays we aim to have a female doctor in the practice Monday to Friday.

Onsite is a  St.Vincent's pathology collection centre that operates Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings. No appointment are made for pathology, you take a number on arrival. We have a visiting dietician once a week.
